Allen Shaheen 

Allen Shaheen is a member of the Board of Directors of the Cognizant U.S. Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports education and skills programs, public-private partnerships, and other initiatives designed for reskilling those in the workforce looking to obtain specialized technical skills for digital technology jobs. Allen was named to the Cognizant U.S. Foundation board following its creation in 2018.

As Cognizant’s Executive Vice President, North American Regional Delivery Centers, Allen is responsible for workforce initiatives that enable the company’s employees and its clients to succeed in the digital era through technology education and training programs, apprenticeships and innovative educational partnerships.  In this role, he leads the development and implementation of the company’s strategy to expand its service offerings and capabilities at facilities in dozens of U.S. cities and states, and throughout Canada. 

Previously, Allen was Cognizant’s Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and was responsible for Cognizant’s mergers and acquisitions, overseeing the team responsible for 15 acquisitions, with a particular focus on companies that expanded Cognizant’s digital and vertical market capabilities.

Allen joined Cognizant in 2006 and has held a number of senior management roles, including leader of Cognizant’s Enterprise Application Services Practice, General Manager of Cognizant’s German business unit and Markets Delivery Leader for Cognizant in Europe. He has also led Cognizant’s IT Infrastructure Services Practice, managed Cognizant’s Systems Integration and Testing practices, and led Cognizant’s Global Technology Office during his career at the company.

Prior to joining Cognizant, Allen was a founder, officer and Executive Vice President of International Operations at Cambridge Technology Partners, a publicly traded information technology professional services firm.  He was previously the Chief Executive Officer of web development company ArsDigita Corp. prior to its 2002 acquisition by Red Hat Corp.

Allen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Applied Sciences from Harvard College.


Carol Cohen 

Carol Cohen is a member of the Board of Directors of the Cognizant U.S. Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports education and skills programs, public-private partnerships, and other initiatives designed for reskilling those in the workforce looking to obtain specialized technical skills for digital technology jobs. Carol was named to the Cognizant U.S. Foundation board following its creation in 2018.

 Carol is a strong proponent of social responsibility and serves both as a leader of volunteer groups in her community and various company efforts including those involving global outreach and sponsoring STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) grants for local schools.  

 As Cognizant’s Senior Vice President and Global Head for Executive Talent and Leadership Development worldwide, she leads executive career development and strategic talent management initiatives focused on hiring, developing, and retaining a high performing, diverse leadership pipeline.  

Prior to joining Cognizant in 2014, Carol served as Vice President, Talent and Engagement, at Thomson Reuters. She was also previously Vice President, Global Talent, at American Express.  Before moving into Human Resources, Carol spent several years in management consulting for IT consulting firm Perform Consulting, leading organizational effectiveness, transformation, and business process improvement initiatives.

Carol has an MBA, with a concentration in International Business, from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Rutgers University.


DK Sinha

Dharmendra Kumar (DK) Sinha is President of the Cognizant U.S. Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports education and skills programs, public-private partnerships, and other initiatives designed for reskilling those in the workforce looking to obtain specialized technical skills for digital technology jobs.   DK was named president of the Cognizant U.S. Foundation following its creation in 2018.  

DK is Cognizant’s Executive Vice President and President, Global Client Services.  Appointed to his current business role in 2013, DK leads Cognizant’s global sales, field marketing and intermediary relations teams and is also responsible for the company’s strategic partnerships and alliances.

DK has held a number of senior management roles at Cognizant since joining the company in 1997.  From 2007 to 2013, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager, Global Sales and Field Marketing. Before that he served as Vice President responsible for the fast-growing manufacturing, logistics, retail, hospitality and technology vertical markets. DK also was previously Head of Sales and Field Marketing and managed the company’s insurance practice.

DK led several company initiatives to promote diversity and employee education, including the launch of a CPR training program in the United Kingdom that provided instruction to 3,000 employees and is credited with saving two lives so far.  The CPR training is now offered to employees as part of company business meetings.

Prior to joining Cognizant, DK held positions at Tata Consultancy Services and CMC Ltd, an end-to-end IT solutions provider.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Patna Science College in Patna, India, and an MBA degree from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.


Meera Krishnamurthy 

Meera Krishnamurthy is a member of the Board of Directors of the Cognizant U.S. Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports education and skills programs, public-private partnerships, and other initiatives designed for reskilling those in the workforce looking to obtain specialized technical skills for digital technology jobs.  Meera was named to the Cognizant U.S. Foundation board following its creation in 2018. 

As Cognizant’s Senior Vice President and Strategic Business Unit leader for Insurance, North America, she is responsible for managing Cognizant’s business and technology services relationships with leading insurance companies and helping them to build stronger, more agile and innovative businesses.  She joined Cognizant in 2005 and has held several key roles in Cognizant’s Insurance practice around the world. Meera has over 24 years of experience in the financial services and insurance industries.    

Meera is actively involved in a variety of Cognizant outreach and diversity programs. She is the Regional Leader of Cognizant’s Women Empowered business resource group in Connecticut and is a leader in creating an environment where diversity of thought and inclusion are viewed as a business imperative.  She was a previous member of workforce diversity initiative NPower New York and regularly champions the cause of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineers and Math) initiatives in the greater Hartford area. 

Meera is a graduate of the University of Madras with specialization in Computer Science and Mathematics.
